Obituary of Walter G. Gutowski

Walter G. Gutowski of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Saturday, May 30th at Kindred Hospital in Dover, NJ surrounded by his loving family. He was 69. Walter was born August 5, 1945 in Yuma, Arizona to the late Walter A. and the late Stella (Kensler) Gutowski. He grew up in Lyndhurst, NJ and resided in Hopatcong for the past 46 years. Walter was a history buff and liked classic cars. He enjoyed taking cruises and collected military memorabilia but most importantly he loved and cherished his family. He was a graphic artist and worked at Picatinny Arsenal for many years. Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Diane (Bowie), his sons; Darren & his wife, Viki and Ryan, and his cherished grandchildren; Eric and Jason. Additional survivors include his sister, Donna Scheetz, his sister-in-law, Arden Jernick and many nieces and nephews. Walter's Life Celebration will include visitation on Wednesday, June 3rd from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
