Obituary of Joseph Pennino

Joseph L. Pennino of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was 88 years old. Joseph was born on December 13, 1935 in East Orange, NJ to the late Santo and the late Josephine (Galliano) Pennino. Joseph is survived by his sons; Joseph C. Pennino, Michael Pennino, and Gerald Pennino, 11 cherished grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marion (Needham) in 2020 and his daughter, Debora Pennino Kubek in 2014. Joseph was devoted to family and cherished his time spent with them. Joseph served as a police officer for the city of Newark, NJ and was a car salesman employed by Konnor Chevrolet in West Caldwell, NJ for many years before retiring. He was very active with, and a tireless volunteer for the New Jersey Elks Lodge, holding positions of Past Exulted Leader, Past District Deputy, and Past Vice President. He was also active for many years as a coach for Fairfield Little League baseball teams, and was involved in forming and coaching the Fairfield Falcon Little League football team. Joseph's Life Celebration Services will include a Memorial Gathering on April 20, 2024 at 6pm at The Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge #782, 201 Howard Blvd, Mt Arlington, NJ 0785.
