Obituary of Bruce Orren Young Jr.

Bruce Orren Young, Jr., of Archbald Pennsylvania (formerly of Hopatcong), passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, peacefully with his loving wife and son by his side in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was 64 years old. Born on November 3, 1958, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Bruce Orren Young and the late Jean Caroline (Fitz) Young. He lived in Hopatcong, New Jersey and Richmond, Virginia prior to moving to Archbald 2 years ago. Bruce was a Facilities Manager with Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania. He enjoyed fishing, boating and sports (mainly the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins). He loved spending time with family and making new memories. Beloved husband of Rita (Skimmons) Young. Devoted father of Bruce Orren Young, III, and wife Amanda Young. Dear brother of Nina Beglin, Miriam Rafferty and Amy Harwood. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bruce's Life Celebration on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Prayer Service will be offered on Tuesday October 3 at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Cremation will be private. Memorial donations may be made the Lustgarten Foundation (www.lustgarten.org).
