Genowefa (nee: Szotek) Penkala of Hopatcong passed away Tuesday November 20, 2018 at Merry Heart Care Center, Succasunna. She was 91. Born in Konczyce Male, Poland, Genowefa was a custodian for a sweater manufacturing company in Jersey City. Beloved wife of Arthur. Devoted mother of the late Wieslaw. Dear mother-in-law of Margarita. Loving grandmother of Nicole Ann and great grandmother of Natalie Nichole. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Genowefa's Life Celebration on Sunday November 25 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday November 26 at 10:00AM at St. Jude RC Church, Hopatcong. Genowefa will be laid to rest following mass in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of a person's choice.
