Obituary of Mary Lou Lange

Mary Lou (nee Pelletier) Lange, 79, of Landing, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 in the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at St. Therese Church, Succasunna, on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 9:30 AM. Visitation and burial are private. Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements. Mary Lou was born in Newark, NJ to Daniel and Dorothy (Newman) Pelletier on June 28, 1937. She attended Barringer High School in Newark and graduated in 1955. She married Thomas J. Lange and moved to Landing in 1965 to raise her family. Following a career as a realtor, she worked as a legal secretary for Warren Dunn, Esq. in Denville for 24 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and going to the beach, Cape Cod, and Nags Head. She was a charter member of the Art Association in Roxbury and was a member of the Mt. Arlington Senior Citizens. Mary Lou is survived by her beloved children, Annette M. Lange of Landing, with whom she lived, Yvonne K. Richards and her husband Randall of Morrison, CO, and William T. Lange and his wife Phoebe of Wellington, CO. She had seven grandchildren, Danielle, Justin, and Brett Lange, Bryce, Megan, Aspen, and Logan Richards, and one great granddaughter, Zoe Richards. She also leaves her sisters Dorothea Lane of Chandler, AZ, Gary Masterson and his wife Denise, Candace Montague and her husband Sidney. She leaves her very special sister Elizabeth Jordan and her husband Frederick of Columbia, NJ, and their children, Victoria Jordan-Rodriquez and her husband Robert of Jersey City, and niece Marlena Jordan and her partner Jenna, of Nutley. She is preceded in death by her by her parents, brothers, Daniel (Junior), Roland (Chubby), and James (Jimmie) Pelletier. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association (www.lung.org) or the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation (www.cchnet.net). The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Compassionate Care Hospice for making her comfortable.
