Obituary of Carolann Leggio

Carolann M. Leggio, 79, of the Landing section of Roxbury Township, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Born in New York City on June 22, 1946, Carolann was the daughter of the late William and Rose (Mozzett) Ruland. She was employed by the Roxbury Township Board of Education for many years before her retirement.

Carolann enjoyed trips to the casino, playing cards, completing word searches, and cooking for family and friends. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her loved ones, especially her two grandsons, who brought her immense pride and joy. A devoted parishioner of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Hopatcong, Carolann's faith remained an important part of her life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Luciano "Lou" Leggio; her loving daughter, Patty George; her cherished grandsons, Steven and Shawn George; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Carolann was predeceased by two brothers Donald and William Ruland and her sister, Wilma Oliveri.

Carolann's Life Celebration will include visiting hours on Tuesday, June 16 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday June 17 beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ. All are invited to meet at church for Mass. Cremation will be private. Carolann will be remembered for her loving heart, devotion to her family, and the many wonderful memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.
