Obituary of Loretta Alex

Loretta Alex, formerly of Hampton Twp., NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  She was 86 years old. Loretta was born on March 17, 1931 in Simpson, Pa. to the late Pawel and the late Cecelia (Kowalski) Mackiewicz.

She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker.  Loretta also worked at Bell Telephone, H&R Block and was a model for Macy’s  Department Stores.  Mrs. Alex enjoyed singing, reading, attending garage sales, watching CNN but most importantly, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Loretta is survived by her daughters, Michelle Walker, Susan Vaughan and Donna Connolly , her sons, Paul E. Alex, Sr. and Daniel P. Alex,  her 16 cherished grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.  She was pre-deceased by her husband, Ellwood in 2010, her sisters, Amelia Zober and Frederika Conover.

Loretta’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Saturday, October 7th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ 07850.  There will be committal prayers offered at the Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel in North Arlington, NJ immediately following the visitation on Saturday. All services have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.  For memorial donations, please consider the Alzheimer's Association
